CS8563 4.5W*2 dual channel audio chip application

CS8563S is a dual-bridge audio power amplifier chip, using SOP16L packaging mode, less peripheral components, with loudspeaker developed and single terminal stereo ear amplifier two modes, the chip built-in low power standby circuit and overheating protection circuit.

The chip has a variety of power input methods, the maximum is not more than 6.8V, different working voltage and load, corresponding to different output power, respectively:

1. VDD=6V, load 8ω, 2.3W7 per channel

1. VDD=6V, load 4ω, 4.5W per channel

1. VDD=5V, load 8ω, 1.6W per channel

1. VDD=5V, load 4ω, 3.2W per channel

1. VDD=3.6V, load 8ω, 0.9W per channel

1. VDD=3.6V, load 4ω, 1.7W per channel

CS8563S can form different gains by setting the input resistance and internal resistance, specifically calculated as Avd=2* (Rf/Ri); A 10uF and 0.1uF capacitor at the power input of the chip can stabilize the power supply, reduce input noise and improve transient power response. A 1uF capacitor connected to the ByPASS pin improves internal bias voltage stability and increases amplifier rejection ratio (PSRR), which is the ratio of the change in input power in volts to the change in output of the converter in volts, commonly expressed in decibels. For high quality D/A converters, switching circuits and operational amplifiers are required to change the supply voltage, the output voltage is minimal. The RATIO OF THE PERCENTAGE OF THE FULL-SCALE VOLTAGE CHANGE TO THE PERCENTAGE OF THE SUPPLY VOLTAGE CHANGE IS USUALLY CALLED THE POWER SUPPLY REJECTION RATIO. , the capacitance should not be too large, too much will affect the noise reduction performance of the amplifier.

For the audio signal, a high-pass filter is formed by the input capacitance and resistance, and the cutoff frequency can be calculated by Fc =1/(2πRC).

The analog reference bypass capacitor of the chip is a key capacitor. It determines how fast the amplifier can be turned on when the chip is switched off from analog startup to overreset. It also reduces noise generated when the power is coupled to the output drive signal.

RT9059 LDO chip is added to the power input end, which can stabilize the power input and adjust the output voltage at the same time, so that the power input of the audio chip is placed in different voltages to adapt to various occasions.

In the application of PCB, the audio signal output adopts the difference-like cable way, which reduces the common mode interference. At the same time, a large area is laid to ensure the integrity of the ground and reduce the external interference.
